Participation

One of the things that came out during the recent SCC in Atlanta was the fact the conference was only as good as attendees participation in planning, suggesting and carrying out details to make the conference better than the year before.

I respectfully ask all our members of Kappa Beta to take part in making our group better as time goes on. Do you have a suggestion of how we can improve our meetings, and activities following? What can we do as a group and individually to attract new members?

In order to thrive we must be creative and that can only be accomplished with your help. What can we do better, what would you like to see or do with activities, what complaint do you have? Your Board of Directors can not do everything by themselves, nor do they want to. This is your group and as such you should be concerned with its continued success.

Let's get a dialog going and exchange thoughts on making our meetings and social activities something to look forward to. May God bless you and Kappa Beta.

From the Chair!

Hello to all, I thought I'd say that the election is over. I'm sorry that Jaye had to withdraw from the election because she had to move back to Virginia due to work. We will miss her around here. That means that Kari and I will be your "At Large directors" this year. So, please welcome Kari to the board.

As you all should know, the board is here to run the group; the directors need your support to continue to improve our beloved Kappa Beta! I wanted to thank all of you for your support this past year and ask that you give your support again this year.

I want to inform you all that I will not seek nor accept nomination for the board next year. I would hope that some of you would consider running for the board. Please take part in your group and not just come to the meetings. Participation is the key to our group's continued success! The more that you participate, the more you can get out of it and the more others will get out of it as well. If you're like me, you can't wait to attend the next meeting. I hope to see you all there!
